Jose L My name is Jose Lopez. I am going to be talking

My name is Jose Lopez. I am going to be talking about stress and anxiety today. Stress and anxiety can be a good thing. I think I create a sense of motivation for us to accomplish tasks. It’s also important to make sure that we know when stress and anxiety is becoming something negative in our life.

And I think in order to get to that point, we have to recognize how it’s impacting our life. Stress, like I mentioned, stress and anxiety is normal. We all experience it, but it becomes something negative when it’s starting to impact how we live our daily life. So we are experiencing a significant amount of stress and anxiety to the point where we’re no longer engaging in the things that we usually engage in. So it’s avoiding social situations, creating that a significant amount of stress where we’re no longer being productive.

Instead, we choose to avoid doing the work when we are avoiding going out to lunch with our friends because that creates some anxiety for us to the point where we’re like, we just choose not to go. That’s when it’s starting to impact our lives in a negative manner, when that is not normal for us to do. But we won’t know that’s occurring until we are able to identify some of the symptoms that that stress and anxiety free for us. So what are those symptoms of stress and anxiety?

Stress and anxiety can impact us both physically and technologically.

Some of the stress and anxiety symptoms that we typically experience can be upset, stomach shaking, rapid heartbeat, sweating for a lot of us as not being able to concentrate, feeling like there’s something Bad’s going to happen, feeling the concentrate of worry. And I think it’s a normal question for people to have asking themselves, when is what I’m experiencing normal? And when do I need to seek professional help or additional help? And I think I think it comes down to us being able to assess ourselves and recognize if what we’re experiencing is healthy or not healthy.

So it’s normal to experience stress and anxiety for short term in a short term basis.

I guess so you have an upcoming test, you have an upcoming presentation, social events or public speaking. Those create stress for some people. Create anxiety for some people on that is normal become something different when you are experiencing the stress and anxiety to a pretty severe extent to where you are avoiding those situations where you all of a sudden are canceling situations because you don’t want to deal with that stress and anxiety. So, for example, let’s say some in the study to take a test that short term anxiety and stress that we experience creates that motivation for us to study and for us to do well or to put the effort in to try to do well.

Now for individuals who might have or need to seek professional help or additional help instead of studying that stress and anxiety might create so much trauma or a significant amount of trauma for them that they just rather drop the class or just rather avoid the situation or stop going to school because it creates too much stress and anxiety for them.

That is the difference. Short term stress and anxiety is normal when it becomes long term and we’re experiencing it see to severe extent and we’re it’s now impacting our daily life and how we live it. That is when we should be seeking professional help.
