Eric M What motivates me to do what I do? My passion for actually having true friendships and believing in others.
Meet Eric
My name is Eric and I work at Arc of King County and I have worked there for 11 years. There are many programs there and one of the programs I am a coordinator for is the Community Change Champions program. It is led by people with disabilities. I support them in finding their own potential.
I do have Downs Syndrome and I do see things in a different perspective from others and that is what is unique about people with Down’s Syndrome – and what is unique about people without disabilities. We all have different ways of looking at things.
I’m slowly seeing that I am a role model. People are picking up on that and I didn’t even ask for that. It is like the small little things that can kind of make me feel kind of like Spiderman in the sense where you’re going above and beyond, you’re doing something and it rubs off and onto other people, and other people are really seeing it and being appreciative of what is coming out through the Getting Healthy With Eric videos.
Eric has created a series of videos that show people with disabilities can cook and stay healthy.

What motivates me to do what I do? My passion for actually having true friendships and believing in myself. Not just believing in myself but believing in others.
